 St Paul's Church

7th century chancel featuring original stone window surrounds and excavated 7th century glass. Oldest surviving dedication stone in an English church. 7th century stonework and carvings on display.

Bede's World

The museum houses the collections from the excavations of St Paul’s monastery at Jarrow.  This includes the largest collection of early medieval coloured window glass known anywhere in Europe, carved stonework, objects relating to the making of the books, from the daily lives of the monks and from the later phases of monastic settlement.
